开源软件常需要由非贡献者角色构建，但非贡献者遇到构建问题的现象普遍，相关研究却很少。本文从非贡献者视角开展研究，旨在理解他们经历的构建问题的症状与原因。论文不聚焦贡献者日常开发，而关注外部使用者、打包者等非贡献者角色在构建开源软件时面临的困难；通过研究构建问题的表现与根因，总结出哪些问题尤其棘手。结果强调，若不理解非贡献者的行为模式，就难以有效支持其解决构建问题。该研究为提升非贡献者构建体验的后续工作提供了基础。
Open-source software (OSS) often needs to be built by roles who are not contributors. Despite the prevalence of build issues experienced by non-contributors, there is a lack of studies on this topic. This paper presents a study aimed at understanding the symptoms and causes of build issues experienced by non-contributors. The findings highlight certain build issues that are challenging to resolve and underscore the importance of understanding non-contributors’ behavior.
