Emotions play a central role in shaping collaboration, motivation, and learning during software engineering capstone projects, yet they are rarely surfaced or systematically reflected upon in team practices. This paper introduces a lightweight, theory-informed framework for embedding emotional awareness into Scrum retrospectives. The framework consists of five phases: Sense, Share, Interpret, Respond, and Monitor. It guides students through individual and team-based emotional reflection. Drawing on Control-Value Theory (CVT) and Socially Shared Regulation of Learning (SSRL), the approach encourages teams to identify emotional patterns, discuss triggers, plan small adjustments, and maintain awareness over time. Designed to fit within standard Scrum practices, the framework requires no additional tools and supports emotionally reflective collaboration without disrupting workflow. We plan to evaluate the framework in a six-sprint capstone course involving 68 students, with the goal of exploring its feasibility and potential to enhance team learning and emotional regulation in educational settings.
