Video game production is a complex process that requires production processes that work across the socio-technical spectrum. We discuss the challenges in game design and development education in the context of industry expectations and Agile values. In particular, we aim to understand which Agile values students view as important, and the practices that support a team's effectiveness in pursuing their priorities. Via a survey of students in team-based game development courses and thematic analysis of their responses, we provide a set of refined questions and exploratory suggestions for future work in game development process curricula.
