P2 Democratizing Legal Requirements for Context-Aware Software Systems

(Abstract)

This work explores judicial precedents as a source of context-specific legal requirements for software systems operating in common law jurisdictions. Specifically, I propose a methodology that combines expert annotation of case law with large language model (LLM)-based extraction of legal rules and their grounding in material facts, enabling the integration of case-based legal requirements into adaptive, user-specific systems.
